Background:
In addition to government initiatives, a hospital affiliated to each hospital has a voluntary organization registered under the law for strengthening the services of the hospital's social service in order to engage private enterprises.Registered societies mainly provide advice to the patient welfare association fund raising and the improvement of the quality of services to provide financial assistance to the patients, including providing overall support to the hospital social services program. A total of 518 patients have been registered.

Who will get the services:
Poor, helpless and sick patients who come to the hospital and are unable to afford the treatment expenses. Through the Patients Welfare Association, helpless patients are provided with medicines, blood, clothes, crutches, wheel chairs, artificial limbs etc.
Service Receipt:
1. After the concerned patient is admitted to the hospital, the Social Service Officer will apply in the prescribed form.
2. To determine whether a patient may be offered a patient by accepting the patient's application, send the patient to the resident medical officer of the hospital concerned to the social services officer.
3. Resident Medical Officer will send the name of the necessary medicines and send it to the Social Service Officer for approval.
4. The social services officer, through his colleagues, purchases medicines and gives the necessary medicines to the ward in which the patient is admitted in the ward.
